Pops of Red Spice in Fashion and Home Decor

In the midst of Summer I thought I would share this post on hints of red spice as inspiration. I love red, its so bold, classic and looks good on most of us to wear.
However, in the home it can either look amazing or look horrible if it isnt designed right.
Red can come off as a bit loud or even seem a bit campy, but it has always been a favorite color of mine.
Below are a few ways that spicy red has been done tastefully in the home and as apparel.

Love these red chests in this dining room, looks so elegant and romantic with the white tufted chairs and glossy black dining table.

This spicy red blazer jacket looks amazing with the black & white striped top. Ive even been wearing this red blazer look and I love it.

A stunning hot red Valentino dress paired with red stilettos.

So pretty, with the classic lines of this red & white striped chair. Also a bold choice in gingham wallpaper but it works well in this space.

Beautiful banquet with horizontal stripes in the kitchen and red & white flooring..fun and playful.

Spice racks from Ikea were re-used as bookshelves.

All of these red frames in this hallway are different than the usual black picture frames that are commonly used in decorating. I think if the photos werent all black and white it would be harder to pull this look off using all red frames.
All in all I think red works if its done in subtle ways and doesnt go too over the top with this color. Spice red is a warm color that helps warm up a home and a classic that will always be timeless.
